Blair Station Overpass Reopening
City staff delivered some very good news to kick off the month of August. My office has been informed that early this month the pedestrian overpass at Blair Station is re-opening! As you can see from the graphic below, it’s the section between the towers on the South and North end of the 174 that will once again be accessible to pedestrians.

This does mean that the current temporary pathway from the southern tower around the east end of the O-train tracks will be closing permanently. But regaining access to the original path also means that the elevator will be up and running once again.
You will still see some temporary modular fencing around the O-train station entrance and other areas to keep pedestrians safe. Those will be coming down as soon as the trains are ready for public use. This is another great sign that LRT is on the way and we’ll be able to gain full use of Blair station soon!
